I got raped by a cryptid and hear other stories from other places and also invisible forces or that could go through walls, Able to toss me across a room. People aint stupid or total liars therefore cryptid stories like Jesus did happen as well as mythical beasts…

I just watched season 2 episode 10 of the Syfy show HAVEN “Who, Where, What, Wendigo. Very interesting! I had heard of the Wendigo about 35 years ago from my grandfather, didn’t dwell on the thought of it very much until now. The Algonquin speaking people of North America believed in this cannibalistic creature. I suggest looking it up on a wikipedia search. It is very informative. I think that many cultures around the world have their own mythological creatures similar to the Wendigo. I believe there are more evil people lurking in the world to worry about than all the evil spirits, put your fears in man not the beasts.

I agree with you. My family from the Adirondacks Mountains in NY state lived and were forest rangers in the deep forest, and the Iroquois told them about Wendigo. Said there was many ways to becoming one, but all together was from Choosing to do evil and aweful things against the laws of nature, that the demon possesses you. It will get you mostly while you are alone, or at your weakest mentality. One of its favortie ways to get its prey is to somewhat “scare you to death” by making you so paranoid and freaked that your run, non-stop until your body can’t go anymore. Then take you. Or it will immoblize you with terror. They also have a talent for calling out and sounding like a human calling for help, to draw you out where u r more vulnerable and get u lost. Though,like most evil, it must also go by the laws of nature. It can not cross running fresh water, preferably clean and unpolluted. It hates fire.

my grandmother told me stories of the windigo and i didn’t believe it until i seen it as long i have the creature and the great spirit watching over me i’m save. now i still live in fear of that beast it was like a caribou with the body of a man and the legs arms and head of a dead wolf’s decaying (not a good site to see) i feel like i’m being stalked in the woods when hiking or hunting i’m not making this up i’m still scared to go alone into the woods it was hard running from that thingi almsot got cought

I had a dream of Wendigo the other night, I thought it was nothing until a documentary came on the next day after the dream. The George Strombo show was hosting Tom Jackson – he explained the legend of Wendego… It resembled my dream a little too closely.. I feel like maybe there is a spiritual world. But I don’t really believe anything yet, I wasn’t possessed was I now? lol. It was creepy though he just smiled and talked calmly to me after he bit a small predator that was preying closely behind me.. after he sucked the blood out of it he tried to joke and converse with me… I felt I could be his next victim though.. so I ran, I ran as hard and fast as I can but I felt like gravity was weighing down on me. Anyway it was cool in a creepy kinda way )

Here is what my grandparents told me how the Wendigo or Weetikoo came to be as we called them up here in Pelican Narrows ,Saskatchewan.They were the result of either a vision quest gone wrong or people misusing their spiritual powers to harm one another.Weetikoos looked like emaciated zombies with missing lips,gaunt bodies,messy hair,light and very piercing blue eyes,and a high-pitched scream that imobilized their victims.The negative energy beings/bad spirits/or forest demons took possession of that individual.

I like that they have this native monster on here and i seen it on supernatural but they also forgot to mention other aspects of stories i heard of…that they eat the flesh off there fingers and mouth cuz there starving!anywhere they can get flesh of themselves they will eat it… I grew up hearing of this beast but i was told different scare stories!

First time I read a tale about Wendigo was one from Algernon Blackwood. Isn’t a very good short novel.
Personally I think these phenomenon are produced by extreme loneliness living in impressive solitary forests during long times as these of North Canada. In movies we have seen something similar in “The shining” By Stanley Kubrick, but also I think it’s at bottom of the much better and apparently ordinary “Taxi driver” with Robert de Niro. Travis Bickle, the lonely taxi driver of New York becomes mad owing of extreme loneliness and incommunication, so, he believes to do justice in killing some gangster who manage prostitutes, but I think he should kill anybody. Perhaps also in “Seven” or another more films very far from the Indians and wild forests.
